54503 – Raven
Medical Case – Heartworms 🙁 Available to a Shelter Foster or Rescue Only
Why choose me?
Update 11/25: Raven spent a little time in a foster home and did GREAT! However, she is too enthusiastic for toddlers without some training–she loves people and life so much and doesn’t keep it to herself. She’s back at the shelter now and would love to find a rescue or a foster-to-adopt for the holidays!
Unfortunately, Raven has tested positive for heartworms. Athenspets and ACCAS will help with the cost of her treatment, but a rescue needs to be prepared for some added expense and the exercise restrictions that come with treatment. As a result, she is only available to foster through the shelter or rescue. To learn more about heartworms, including how to prevent and treat them, please go to the American Heartworm Society’s webpage.
Raven is a sweet sweet girl. She’s a little shy at first but warms up to you quickly. She has beautiful brown eyes and a silky black coat. She walked well on the leash to the interaction pen so she may have had some leash training in her past. She just wanted to be close to me as we spent our time together. She didn’t react to the other dogs as we walked past and was mostly pretty chill. She didn’t show a lot of interest in playing with toys but did love the treats I brought for her. She would just love to find her forever home soon.
