Why choose me?

Balto caught my eye right away. He’s stunningly handsome! I took him to an interaction pen where he welcomed some pets and then was off to run, stretch his legs, and check the fence lines. Balto is friendly, but, understandably, he was wanting to go home. I soon discovered that he knows all about gates and latches and would place his snout beneath the latch trying to lift it up. No doubt, he’s a smart dog. A tennis ball was a good distraction, and Balto charged after it like he wanted to play fetch. Ha! He fooled me and jumped right over the ball when he reached it. Still, I wouldn’t be surprised if he does know the game but just wasn’t into it today. We played a few more rounds of chase and jump, and then Balto sat at the gate to let me know he was ready to go. He’s a nice dog, and I hope he’s reclaimed. I also hope he’s learned that lifting a latch on a gate might not be the best idea.
