54283 – Cecelia
Why choose me?
Update 9/29: Cecelia is a polydactyl cat – meaning that she has extra toes! To make arrangements to meet her for foster, adoption or rescue, please call the shelter at 706-613-3540.
Do you see that Cecelia has “thumbs”? She is a polydactyl cat, meaning that she has extra toes on her paws – also referred to as a “Hemingway Cat” – as Ernest Hemingway had several of these lucky extra-toed cats. This is very rare – one of the only times that we have seen this at the shelter — so we wanted to make sure that you see Cecelia’s incredible mitts! In addition to her unique physical traits, Cecelia has a wonderful personality. She’s a relaxed lady, who will likely fit in easily in most any home. She is friendly with humans, seems fine with other cats, and is overall an independent, low-maintenance gal who is fine doing her own thing. The polydactyl trait is quite rare to witness, so you should come meet Cecelia ASAP, so can see for yourself!
