Why choose me?

When I first met Gomez, I could tell that she had shut down. She is terrified in the shelter and just sits in her bed, hiding. She will let you reach in and pet her but all that registers on her face is fear and uncertainty. She never showed any aggression towards me even when I was encroaching on her safe space. Gomez really needs a foster home where someone can give her a quiet space and spend time gaining her trust. It’s often the case that cats don’t show their true personalities at the shelter, and a patient foster may be the ticket to get her to come out of her shell.
