Why choose me?

Update 9/15: I always have a great time with Lola. I wanted to take some glamour shots of her, but she spied a soccer ball and had other ideas. That was so much more fun! A friend and fellow volunteer described Lola perfectly, “Lola is sweet and a powerhouse at the same time. Like a Rosie the Riveter meets Madonna combo.” We both love this sweet, fun dog!

Lola was really scared when she came to the pound, and today was the first day she was ready to leave her kennel and enjoy time in an interaction pen. Wow, she had a blast! Lola loved running around the pen, and when I threw her a toy, that was even better. She’d run with her toy, toss it about, and be ready for me to throw it again. She also liked sitting for treats and enjoying head scratches. It was good to see Lola having so much fun. Another volunteer later told me that when she joined Lola in her kennel for some quiet time, Lola conked out in her lap. I’m sure this was the best day Lola has had in a while, and I hope she finds a family to share many more good days.
