53523 – Zepplin
Update 7/5 from Zepplin’s “Foster over the Fourth”: Zeppelin is so full of love, life, and personality. She’s has a lot to offer! Good in her crate and like clockwork poops about 20 mins after she eats.
Zepplin is a pretty long-legged girl who enjoyed exploring the interaction pen, sniffing around happily to learn all the messages left by the other dogs. She was surrendered to the shelter because of the landlord issues; she previously lived indoors with other dogs and four children (ages 3-10 years old). Her former family reports she was friendly with all of them and is cratetrained, but she will scale a 4′ fence if left outside. However, she does take a little bit of time to warm up to new dogs so she would do best in a home where she was able to meet any other dogs a time or two before moving in with them. She enjoys car rides and cuddle time with her people and is old enough to be past all of the puppy nonsense. I hope she soon has a new family to live indoors with since living in a kennel is tough on dogs accustomed to the comforts of home living. Please call the shelter to meet Zepp and see if she’s a good fit for your family!
Zepplin has tested positive for heartworms. Athenspets will help with the cost of treatment, but an adopter or rescue should be prepared for some added cost and the exercise restrictions of heartworms.
