Update 10/6: Zepplin has received her shots to kill her heartworms and is now on a month’s crate rest. Please wish this sweet girl well as she recovers! To learn more about preventing and treating heartworms, please go to the American Heartworm Society’s website.

Zepplin is a fun dog who loves being with people. After getting the usual sniffing of the pen out of the way, she was ready to play. She’s a bit chunkier than when she was at the pound the first time, but that didn’t keep her from chasing toys and jumping on the picnic table for treats and pets. It was a warm afternoon, so when she needed water and to cool off, she didn’t just drink, she dunked her whole head in the bucket. That explains her wet head look in most of her pictures. I bet she’d love a kiddie pool! Zepplin also likes being loved on and is partial to having her head scratched. She’s a really sweet dog and was good with the young teen in the family. She’s also house trained. Her former owners said she’s perfect except that she had a stranger danger reaction to someone she didn’t know coming into the house. Zepplin is a great dog, and I hope she finds her forever family.
