Update 3/31: Thanks to donations to the Spay/Neuter Fund, Kali is now spayed!

Update from her foster: Kali is an extremely loving dog who enjoys hanging on the couch and snuggling. She is housebroken and walks okay on a leash (pulls a little bit). She loves nature hikes. She knows and follows basic commands. She will be getting spayed soon and will be ready for a home. She seems to have some trauma issues when it comes to adult males (or maybe just bald ones as she doesn’t like my bald husband 🙂 ) so she will need to go to a female household or someone who will work with her for a period of time to get over her fear and build up her confidence. She is also not a big eater and the only thing she has been eating is some dry food mixed with a bit of wet cat food (yes, she won’t even touch wet dog food). She absolutely loves human food. She is extremely devoted and very loyal. (From Athenspets: I can also add that while she was initially stiff and uncomfortable on meeting me and my dog, she quickly relaxed and was polite for our walk.)

Update: Kali is in a temporary foster home during the coronavirus quarantine period! To learn more about this great girl or make arrangements to meet her, please call the shelter at 706-613-3540.

Kali is a sweet girl with a very sad story. Her previous owner surrendered her due to financial constraints, so now this girl is looking for a new home. According to her previous owners, she is house broken and has done well with kids 7 years and older. She is apprehensive of strangers, which I experienced, but once she warmed up to me she was a delight! She sniffed the grass and ran around and enjoyed the cool rain and the fresh air. Come meet this sweet girl!
