53350 – James FKA Duke
Why choose me?
Update: James is in a shelter foster home! To meet him to adopt or rescue, or to learn more about him, please call the shelter at 706-613-3540.
Update from someone who knows James FKA Duke 3/26: James is potty trained. He needed to be fed separately from the other dog in his prior home because he is protective of his food around other dogs but was good with the person’s small, neutered male dog (even when the dog obsessively humped James). He is VERY loving and likes being with people–he is not a good candidate to be a yard dog since he is an escape artist (and teaches other dogs how to get out). While he hasn’t received much training, he responds well to it and learns quickly. He has been a home with teenagers/tweenagers and was great with them.
Update 3/22: Unfortunately, James is back at the shelter.
James was picked up running down an Athens street by a volunteer. He is a sweet boy who knows how to come and sit and appears to have some formal training. He was great with me and really enjoyed being outside on a nice day. He was very scared and confused when I shut and locked his kennel door, which just about broke my heart.
