53213 – Lola
Why choose me?Update 4/7: Lola and Pistol were recently in a foster home together. We’ve learned that they’re house trained and can sleep through the night with no accidents. They’re also HUGE cuddlers and loved being near their foster. Lola knows how to sit, shake, focus, lay down, and bow, and Pistol knows how to sit. Their foster said Lola was more outgoing, but Pistol really blossomed. Both dogs loved meeting people on their walks but were reactive to other dogs. While Lola and Pistol don’t seem to do well with other dogs, they do love each other and had fun playing tug. The foster said that the best thing about fostering Lola and Pistol was that they were very loving and enjoyed cuddling!
Update 2/29: Lola is available to foster! To foster her or another shelter animal, please apply here.
Update 2/25: When I had Lola and Pistol out separately, they were really sad. It broke my heart so I asked if they could be together in an interaction pen. What a change! They were thrilled to see one another and were now running about the interaction pen, playing with toys, taking treats, and happy for pets from me. They were having the best time. These two best friends dearly love each other. They never squabbled even when Lola took Pistol’s favorite toy. They just enjoyed being together, and I enjoyed being with them!
Lola was brought into the shelter along with her sibling Pistol. Lola does not get along with cats or dogs other than Pistol, so she would be best suited to be adopted with Pistol or be the only pet in the house. She was very sweet with me and in my time spent with her seems to be great with humans. She appeared to have a very calm demeanor and enjoyed being pet and lounging in the grass. Come check this girl out and see if she’s the one for you.
