Why choose me?

Update: Gypsy is in a temporary foster home during the coronavirus quarantine period! To learn more about this great girl or make arrangements to meet her, please call the shelter at 706-613-3540.

Update 3/11: Gypsy is so much fun! She’s a medium-sized dog who packs a lot of energy. When she first enters an interaction pen, she wants to run and has the best time zooming about. After a few laps, she’s ready to play with me and loves chasing toys and tossing them in the air. She also enjoys playing catch with treats. While Gypsy is energetic, she’s also good about sitting as she waits for a treat or toy. She’s a happy girl who’d love a best friend who enjoys playing as much as she does!

Update 2/19: Thanks to donations to the Spay/Neuter Fund Gypsy is now spayed. As a result, she’s available for foster! To foster Gypsy or another shelter animal, please apply here.

You’ll notice Gypsy immediately when you step outside to the large dog kennels, not only because she’s anxiously asking for your attention, but because she’s a gray and white beauty! She was extremely excited to get to go with us into the run, and we were excited to go with her! Upon entering the run, however, we noticed that she was extremely hand-shy and nervous about us quickly approaching her. She was quick to trust us though, and we were fast friends! Gypsy will need a family that is slow with her and patient as she works through her fears, but once you do, I know she’ll be the best girl!
