Why choose me? Update 12/1: Wow! Once again I am amazed by the progress I have witnessed in just two sessions with Georgia Dog Trainer LLC in her work with Athens-Clarke County shelter dog Badger. He is *almost* a loose leash walker already!!! He knows ‘sit’, ‘down’, and is learning ‘shake’. This smart boy is highly treat motivated and eager to learn and this has allowed Adriana to work wonders for this leggy coonhound. He’s been great walking leashed with all dogs when introduced properly and I believe he’d make a great addition to any family! If all goes well, he will be treated for his heartworms and enrolled in school soon thanks the generous donors of Athenspets – GA!
Update 11/25: Badger is such an amazing dog! He did zoomies today and his personality shined😍 He’s so playful and attentive. He knows some basic commands and seems to be somewhat potty trained. His kennel was clean when I got to the shelter around 2 today. He’s so skinny😞he got cheeseburgers and lots of peanut butter and treats today for being such a good boy. Someone needs to snatch this guy up and show him a great life. He is hw+ and needs to be treated and have a temp foster lined up for that treatment, someone experienced with large working breed dogs would be great. He’s still a puppy and has not had a good life. He’s probably almost 30 pounds underweight😭 please help me get him out of the shelter alive!!
This beautiful boy named Badger came in as a stray. He has a beautiful coat and the biggest, cutest floppy ears! He is pretty energetic and was very curious of all the scents in the interaction pen. He loves treats and knows how to sit. He pulls a little on the leash but I think with proper training he would make a great walking partner. He seemed interested in playing with toys at first but was happier just exploring. I think his playful side will come out in time.
