Why choose me? Update from Peanut’s Doggie-Day-Out 10/28: Peanut enjoyed a beautiful day out adventure today! We hiked Trail Creek Park a couple of miles and then walked around downtown Athens meeting people. Let me tell you, this girl is a fun and happy hiking buddy and loved everyone she met along the way, from kids to adults! One little boy approached her completely wrong yet Peanut didn’t care one bit. She was perfect! After her initial excitement upon arrival at the park, she didn’t pull a bit on her leash. She hopped right up in the car like a pro and enjoyed the ride. Her only area of improvement is she guards tight spaces like a car and fears bicycles, but with time and reassurance, these kinds of things can be overcome! She’s a happy-go-lucky girl and easy in every other way. She’d make an active owner the perfect canine companion! Update 10/20: Thanks to donations to the Spay/Neuter Fund, Peanut is now spayed! When I met Peanut, she just seemed so excited that someone wanted to take her out and play. She immediately went to the bathroom when we got outside so she might be potty trained. She was very playful and full of life! She was very nice to every person she met and met three different dogs through the fence and did amazing. She knew how to sit, was great on the leash, and listened to corrections well. Her name is Peanut because she has an adorable peanut shaped dot on her head. She is a sweet and beautiful girl ready to be someone’s companion!
