52279 – Tucker
Medical Case – In Treatment for Heartworms
Why choose me?
Update 11/15: Tucker has been treated for heartworms (received two shots) and is in his rest period. Please wish him well as he recovers!
Update 11/2: Tucker is in a shelter foster home! To arrange a meet-and-greet, please call 706-613-3540.
Update from Tucker’s Doggie-Day-Out 10/3: What a fun day with this handsome boy! Tucker loves giving kisses (especially on your face), loves cuddles on the sofa, and is a big fan of car rides. He loved looking out the window at all the cars going by. He is housetrained and even took a little nap with me!
Update 9/16: Tucker and Patsy were playmates. Patsy was adopted today, but it’s nice to know that Tucker played well with another dog!
Unfortunately, Tucker has tested positive for heartworms. While Athenspets will do our best to help pay for the cost of treatment, an adopter or rescue should be prepared to pay some of the cost. For more information about heartworms and their treatment, please go to the American Heartworm Society webpage.
Tucker really enjoyed his time in the interaction pen, and he was very interested in investigating the sights and smells all around him. He politely sniffed his neighbor at the fence and did not react at all. Once the heat thoroughly tuckered him out, he beat the heat by vegging out under the picnic table. I really enjoyed spending time with this good boy and I suspect that you may as well!
