52276 – Marshall
Why choose me?
Update 12/16: Marshall has completed his heartworm treatment and recovery period! He’s ready to find a foster or forever home 🙂
Update 11/13: Marshall has received the shots he needs to kill his heartworms and is now on crate rest. Please wish him well as he recovers!
Update 9/16: Marshall and Patsy were playmates. Patsy was adopted today, but it’s nice to know that Marshall played well with another dog!
Update 9/8: Unfortunately, Marshall has tested positive for heartworms. While Athenspets will try to help with the cost of treatment, an adopter or rescue needs to be prepared to cover at least some of the expense. For more information about heartworms, including what treating them involves, please go to the American Heartworm Society’s webpage.
Update 9/3: Thanks to donations to the Spay/Neuter Fund, Marshall is neutered and up-to-date on his basic vaccinations!
Marshall was quite nervous when I first took him out and spent time with him in the interaction pen. His scars and his somewhat skittish mannerisms make me think that this boy has never known what it’s like to be loved by a human. He eventually took to me and grabbed onto me and didn’t want to let go. He gave plenty of kisses, and I could tell that this boy just wants to know what it’s like to be loved. I hope someone can be that person for him.
