Why choose me?

Update 10/20: Thanks to donations to the Spay/Neuter Fund, Finn is now neutered!

Update 9/24: Finn would love to have a best friend. He’s a social dog who enjoys being with people and other dogs. While he doesn’t have a playmate at this time, he likes playing with other dogs at the fence. When he’s playing with me, he gives it his all chasing toys and then taking them beneath the picnic table. We play with two stuffed toys to keep our game moving, but he’ll happily trade a toy for a treat. Treats rank up there with toys, and Finn is very good about sitting for them. “Sit” comes in handy because he needs to work on manners and having him sit for a treat helps him “reset” when he’s excited. Finn would be a perfect companion for someone who enjoys the outdoors and playing as much as he does. Just look into his eyes and see how much Finn wants to please and have a friend.

Update 8/14: We’ve learned more about Bark Twain. His real name is Finn, and his owner was terribly upset about having to surrender him. He said Finn is an energetic dog who loves to play and is full of life. He gets along with other dogs and plays well with older children. Hopefully, Finn will find a new family soon to share good times and his joy for life!

Bark Twain is just a little misunderstood! He has had a tough past, but is willing to trust again! He was nervous to get out of his pen, but once we got into an interaction pen he was so playful! He is learning fetch and has the “chase after it” part mastered! He loved sitting in my lap and getting all the pets he could! His sweet brown eyes show so much kindness and love. He really just needs a chance!
