52006 – Dax
Why choose me?
Doggie Sleepover Update 9/16: Dax is taking a break from shelter life to hang out with me (his advocate), Jasmine, and the kitties! Dax is having so much fun and doing great with everyone! How does this dog not have his forever family yet?!
I want to brag on this pup one more time before going to bed, he is amazing!!! Now that he is out of the shelter, he isn’t pulling on the leash, he is listening to basic commands like ‘sit’ ‘come’ and ‘no’, he 1000% knows his name, is GREAT around cats, and thinks he is a lap dog! I have zero regrets about bringing him home!
Update 9/16: Dax and Jojo are playmates! They can only play together if a staff member is present, but if things are quiet around the shelter while you are visiting, you can ask if it’s a good time for a play date!
Update 7/29: Now that Dax has been at the pound for a while, his fur has returned on his face. He’s still the playful boy I first met, and his love for being with friends and playing with toys is as strong as ever. Sometimes Dax can get excited and jump up but having him sit for a treat works every time. He’s a sweet, fun people pleaser!
Thanks to donations to the Spay/Neuter Fund, Dax is neutered and up-to-date on his basic vaccinations!
Dax will make you smile. He’s a sweet, friendly dog who’s easy to be with. He didn’t hesitate to walk with me to an interaction pen, and once he’d taken inventory of his new surroundings, he was ready to be with me. He likes sitting for treats, being loved on, and running to you when you call him. It doesn’t take much to get a tail wag from Dax; he’s such a happy fellow. He’s missing a little hair on his face, but with proper care that’s an easy fix. Come meet this little guy (he’s only 36 pounds!) and make a new friend!
