51988 – Milo
Medical Case – Heartworms 🙁
Why choose me?
Update 7/31: Unfortunately, Milo has tested positive for heartworms. While Athenspets will try to help with the cost of his treatment, an adopter would need to be prepared for the extra cost and exercise restrictions that go along with treatment. To learn more about heartworms, including how to prevent them and how they are treated, please go to the American Heartworm Society webpage.
Update 7/22: Milo is scared at the pound, but he needed a friend and let me pet him and then pick him up. I carried him outside and held him for a while. After I put him down to let him take care of his business and explore, it wasn’t long before he was back with me putting his front paws on my leg to let me know he was ready to be held again. Milo is a super sweet little guy. His worried look reminded me of my own Chihuahua mix at home when I first met him. Now, he’s my little buddy who’s never too grown up for mama time. Milo is ready to be someone’s best little buddy, too. I quickly fell in love with him, and I bet you will, too.
Milo is a little shy and didn’t want to come out of his pen right away. He seemed pretty content near his comfy bed in his safe surroundings. He let me take some photos of him so he could show off his beautiful red coat. Milo needs a little time to adjust to his surroundings so go slow with him. I’m confident this handsome boy will come out of shell over time.
