51852 – Chico
Why choose me?
I was in the lobby when Chico was being surrendered. He immediately let me pet him and was wagging his tail. He was still with his owners and everything was okay. Once outside, however, Chico realized his owners were no longer there, and he was worried. He only wanted to run and search for them. I’d reach to pet him and tell him he’s a good dog, but it wasn’t working. Then I told him he was a good dog in Spanish. Ta-da! The magic words. Amazingly, Chico joined me and let me pet him. He was ready to lie on the towel I had in the shade and soak up all the pets and attention I could give him. Chico is a sweet dog. His owners said they loved him, but he kept jumping the fence or trying to dig out of the yard. He’s good with older children and other dogs. He just needs a home where he can be an inside dog but still have an opportunity to get his energy out with walks, play time at a dog park, or supervised time in the yard. I hope he finds his perfect match!
