Update from Rue’s Sleepover 8/18: This is what we learned about Sweet RUE in the past 24 hours.
RUE loves car rides and is an excellent passenger!๐Ÿš˜๐Ÿš˜๐Ÿš˜
Rue loves squeaky toys but like the film they are โ€œgone in 60 secondsโ€, ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚so a Kong filled with peanut butter is a much better choice!
Rue played really well with Jinx, but she is a tough little cookie ๐Ÿช๐Ÿชso donโ€™t let her small size fool you, sheโ€™s a strong young girl with a very sweet temperament.๐ŸฅŠ๐Ÿฅฐ๐Ÿฅฐ๐Ÿฅฐ
Rue loves to take flying leaps into your lap!๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿค—
Rue give lots of face kissesโฃ๏ธ๐Ÿ’‹๐Ÿ’‹๐Ÿ’‹
Rue was completely unphased by my small dog which was wonderful!
I have heard that RUE can climb a fence but we feel that she is more than likely just attempting to get to the other interaction pens at the pound to play with other dogs.
Supervision with a fenced in yard would be necessary initially.
Despite the blaring sounds, ๐Ÿ—ฃ๐Ÿ—ฃ๐ŸŽค๐ŸŽค๐Ÿšจ๐Ÿšจ, derby girls and heat ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ”ฅ at the event, Rue handled herself like a complete lady. I on the other hand was much less tolerant ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚.
Rue then came home with us, and I did not crate her. She slept in the studio with the door closed. She did not whine, or cry, she just hopped up onto the sofa in the cool air conditioning and went to sleep.
When I woke up she did have an accident in the room but who can blame her?? She has had nothing but a kennel to poop in. That being said, she did not eat, or destroy a single object, and trust me, there is a lot of โ€œstuffโ€ in that room that could have been destroyed.
โฃ๏ธโฃ๏ธโฃ๏ธThis morning RUE had to go back to the hot, loud pound which is where she is now, waiting for her miracle to come. ๐Ÿถ๐Ÿถ๐Ÿถ

Update 8/5: I think Rue is wonderful, and I always enjoy being with her. She’s sweet, fun, well-behaved, and adorable. She’s a little low rider with the sweetest face who’s happy to sit with you enjoying pets and treats but can turn it up a notch to chase toys. She doesn’t know the rules of fetch, but she will trade her toy for a treat. Rue recently attended an adoption event where she was around other dogs and was good with kids. She’s obedient and wants to please sitting quickly for treats and walking well on a leash. I think Rue is a super dog, but she can climb a fence so it’s best that she’s an indoor dog who’s supervised when outside. Come meet this little sweetheart and fall in love!

Rueโ€™s tail always lights up for scratches! She really desires your attention and love. She also enjoyed wrangling with the stuffed toys in the pen. She was very gentle yet playful. She would be a wonderful dog to take home!
