51260 – Duke
Why choose me?
Update 5/15: Duke is a happy, fun dog who loves to play! Stuffed toys are his favorite. I’ll throw them, and he’ll make a little stock pile that he can relax with once he needs a break. Duke has a good heart, but what he lacks are manners. No one has taught him not to jump on people–something he does at times when he’s excited or wants a treat. We’re working on it. Once he gets a handle on his manners, he’ll be a super companion for someone who likes to play and enjoy life as much as Duke does. He’s a good boy with lots of joy and love to share. He just needs someone who can teach him how to share all of that joy appropriately.
Update 5/2: Thanks to donations to the Spay/Neuter Fund, Duke is neutered and up-to-date on his basic vaccinations!
Duke is a good boy who would make a great hiking buddy for someone who lives an active lifestyle! Initially upon leaving his kennel he was very distracted and unsure of all of the loud noises and sounds. Once I was able to calm him down on the leash he got into the interaction pen and ran, ran, ran! He is a little jumpy and will need a little help learning some manners, but he loves to explore and can run for days! He was very well behaved when sniffing the dog in the adjacent pen, and he is waiting for his person to explore the world with!
