50106 – Aretha
Why choose me?
Update 9/15: Aretha had a super time at today’s adoption event! She was well-mannered and especially loved walking down the toy aisle of the store hosting the event. See her video!
Update 9/11: Thanks to donations to the Spay/Neuter Fund, Aretha has been spayed and brought up-to-date on her basic vaccinations! She’s now available for adoption as well as rescue!
Update 8/26: Unfortunately, Aretha has tested positive for heartworms. She is only available to rescues until she is spayed.
When I stopped at Aretha’s kennel gate, she came out with a big smile on her face. She also came out with a little shadow, her puppy Arista. Aretha was ready to stretch her legs, found a squeaky toy in the interaction pen, and ran with it. It was time for her to be a pup with tiny Arista in tow! She was having fun with her toy and wouldn’t even trade a treat for it. Of course, being the good mother that she is, she still kept a watchful eye on Arista. She didn’t mind when I held her little one but was sure to sniff her and check her out when I put her down. They were adorable relaxing together beneath the picnic table–Arista looking up to her mama and her mama letting her know that she is loved. Aretha is a sweet girl who enjoyed pets and playing with toys. Arista is still nursing but ready to be weaned, and Aretha will need a new home. Although she’s been a wonderful mama, it’s time for her to stop having litters and enjoy playing and being with a family who loves her.
