Why choose me?

Update 7/11: Ruth had an abscess on her chest from trauma that burst but has healed nicely. Poor girl but we’re happy she’s alive and the injuries weren’t worse! She’s now available for adoption as well as rescue.

Update 7/5: Sadly, Ruth has been returned. Her former owner says that she’s an escape artist and kept getting out of her yard. It sounds like Ruth would do better as an inside dog. She was at the vet today for injuries incurred before being surrendered, so we’ll update her page when we have more information. Hopefully, this sweet girl is on the mend and can find a new family to love. At this time, Ruth is only available to rescues.

Update 6/20: Thanks to donations to the Spay/Neuter Fund, Ruth has been spayed and brought up-to-date on her basic vaccinations!

Update 6/19: Ruth is over her shyness! She just wants to have fun and be loved on. When she’s not playing with other dogs at the fence, she’s sitting at my feet enjoying scratches, pets, and lots of love. What a sweet girl!

Sweet Ruth hasn’t had the best life and has spent all of it in a pen. Because of that, she’s a little shy about being petted, but this little girl needs some love! When I first reached to pet her, she darted away, but eventually she got the idea and decided that pets are kind of nice. Rocky in the adjoining pen was also a big help. Ruth liked him right away, and they had a good time running along the fence line. It got Ruth’s interest when Rocky would come to me and take treats through the fence, and she began to feel a little more comfortable. Ruth is still a pup at 6-12 months, and it’s time for her to know a loving home. She’s a sweet cutie who needs someone to give her a chance!
