49600 – Alexa
Why choose me?
Update 6/11: Alexa was recently adopted but returned through no fault of her own. Her adopters loved her, but another dog in the home wasn’t ready to accept having a new sister. Alexa, however, was wonderful with everyone she met. When I had her out today, she was just as sweet as I remembered. After running around the interaction pen and jumping in the pool, she joined me in the shade enjoying lots of pets and treats. She has the sweetest face and looked at me so earnestly as I talked to her. She’s a wonderful dog who’s ready for her forever home!
Update 5/26: Thanks to donations to the Spay/Neuter Fund, Alexa has been spayed and brought up-to-date on her basic vaccinations!
At one year old, Alexa is at the tail end of puppyhood – her body is pretty much full sized (and petite) but puppyness lingers in her brain. She’s a happy little wiggle worm who’s new to the shelter, so she’s very excited to check out every smell, sound and blade of grass. There’s one surefire way to get her attention though, and that’s treats. Nothing smells as good as a treat! She’s got a friendly tail wag for everybody and greets other dogs nicely. And she may be cuter than the law allows!
