49450, 49451 – Kyoto & Filbert
Why choose me?
Kyoto (calico) and Filbert (orange tabby) were extremely loved and spoiled cats in their previous home. They belonged to an elderly couple who got them when they were young’uns . Kyoto is now 12 and Filbert is 10. The wife had always wanted children, but was unable to conceive. These cats WERE her children and she treated them like royalty. Unfortunately, the wife passed away, and her dying wish was for her husband to take care of the cats as long as he could, and to always love them and cherish the joy they brought when kids weren’t an option.
The husband of course agreed, and has taken impeccable care of Kyoto and Filbert. As fate would have it, the husband was recently diagnosed with cancer and is undergoing cancer treatment. He cannot take the cats with him, and wanted them to have a home where they could be again treated like royalty. So he brought them to our shelter and we promised him we’d do our very best to help Kyoto and Filbert find a new loving home. These two are bonded and have never lived apart, so must go together. If you can open your heart and home to these two kitties, we’d all be forever grateful. Senior pets always have such a hard time adjusting to shelter life, and we know Kyoto and Filbert would much rather be in a home, lounging on your recliner, than stuck in a cage in the loud and scary shelter.
Let’s save Kyoto and Filbert!
