48897 – Clarke
Why choose me?
Update 5/22: Clarke’s last playmate was adopted, so today he met Diamond. I think it was love at first sight. They have similar play styles, and afterwards, Clarke was stealing kisses! Of course, Diamond didn’t mind one bit–they’re great together! Clarke and Diamond can only play together if a staff member is present, but if things are quiet around the shelter while you are visiting, you can ask if it’s a good time for a play date!
Update 5/18: Clarke is a fun, goofy pup who never meets a stranger. He and Cherry hit it off immediately and are now playmates. They can only play together if a staff member is present, but if things are quiet around the shelter while you are visiting, you can ask if it’s a good time for a play date!
Update 4/20: Thanks to donations to the Spay/Neuter Fund, Clarke is now neutered and up-to-date on his basic vaccinations!
Clarke sees being at the pound as an adventure. He loved running in the interaction pen and watching other dogs. There wasn’t another dog in the pen next to us, so he ran with Wilma two pens over. Clarke really acted like he wanted a playmate, and when Wilma started playing fetch with her volunteer, Clarke found a ball and ran around the pen with it. I tried to play fetch with him, but he was content just to run with his toy. Clarke takes treats gently but hasn’t learned to sit for them (Update: He’s learned to sit and would love to show you!). If you’re looking for a sweet, happy dog to teach new tricks and be your best friend, spend some time with Clarke!
