48790 – Marina
Why choose me?
Update 4/11: Marina came to the pound as a recent mom, and now she’s a right fielder! Boy, can she catch a ball! She makes a huge leap and often comes down with it. If she misses the ball, she’ll run it down to finish the play. Marina can also play fetch, but catch is her game. While she’s not a girl for dog parks (she doesn’t do well with alpha females), she’d be great in her own back yard!
Update 3/28: Marina has always been a love, and now she seems to be feeling more comfortable around other dogs. She had a great time running along the fence with Nina. Maybe Nina (who’s a friend to all) was just what Marina needed. It was nice watching her have so much fun!
Marina’s eyes are a stunning aquamarine, and her coat is very soft. She’s a pretty girl who looks like she’s had puppies not too long ago. Now that she’s spayed, she can put having litters behind her. She spent her time quietly exploring the interaction pen but always welcomed pets from me. At one point, she chased a tennis ball like it was a game she knew but stopped and decided to continue her walk. Maybe another day. Marina likes treats and knows how to sit. She also seems familiar with “Let’s go for a walk” and happily trotted to the fence when it was time to leave. She’s a sweet girl but seems unsure of other dogs right now. She’s been through a lot of changes lately, but hopefully there’s another one in store for her–finding a loving family and forever home.
