48726 – Holi
Why choose me?
Update 5/11/18: Staff recently noticed Holi had blood in her litter pan one morning. Concerned for her health and well-being, Holi was sent to the vet for a check up. It turns out poor Holi has bladder stones. One was lodged in her urethra, which is very painful. She is being kept on pain medication for now, but she REALLY needs to have surgery to get the stones out. Thanks to some WONDERFUL donors, the Athenspets Medical Fund raised the $600 needed for surgery. She is currently receiving surgery, but we also need for a rescue to pull Holi, (or a an adopter who fully understands the situation) knowing that she will be required to be on a special diet for the rest of her life. PLEASE help us help Holi! She deserves a chance ❤️!
Holi is a sweet lady, who loves humans, but is not so fond of being at the shelter. While she still spends quite a bit of time hiding under her cat bed, Holi is slowly becoming more relaxed as the days go by, but we are hoping that she can move in to a home of her own very soon. Holi loves to be petted around her head and under her chin, but we are afraid that she will be overlooked by visitors, because she’s a rather meek lady, who does tend to hang out underneath her bed. With that said, we recommend that you meet her by opening her kennel and letting her sniff you. She will warm up to you fairly quickly… with a bit of patience, we can tell that Holi will make a great companion for someone in a warm, relaxing home. Come meet this gentle lady today. We’d be she’ll make a great lap cat for someone who lives in a calmer sort of household!
