48614 – Ford
Why choose me?
Update 2/8: Thanks to donations to the Spay/Neuter Fund, Ford is now neutered and up-to-date on his basic vaccinations!
Update 1/28 from the volunteer that found Ford: Ford was found prancing on the side of the road, already heading towards his new life. Right from the start this boy was a traffic stopper. 5 cars were all patiently waiting to see if he would let a strange person put a leash on him. Even with clear signs of neglect, Ford politely greeted his new friend. With his new human buddy in tow, the two of them brought Ford to his new life where he can find his new forever home.
Ford was in rough shape, but he has not let any hardship hold him down. He loves warm baths, delicious treats (Even the crumbs at the bottom of the bag!), sniffing around on a walk, and a reassuring hug from his buddy. He loves life despite his adversity, and he deserves a human that shares his joy. He look a little weak right now, but don’t let that fool you. He is #builtFordTough.
Ford is a sweet, older dog. A volunteer on her way to the pound saw him running in and along Buddy Christian Way and stopped to see if she could get him. He hopped right into the car. He’s that friendly! It’s obvious that Ford hasn’t had the best life. His coat is thin in places, and his teeth aren’t in the best condition, but he’s Ford tough and has made it through that rough patch in his life and is ready for a better one. With good nutrition and care, Ford’s brindle coat will fill in. He’s a sweet boy who had kisses for the volunteer that saved him from traffic and tail wags for me as I petted him and gave him treats. Hopefully, it’s a start for a new and better life for Ford!
