Why choose me?
Update 2/9/18 – Madeline is doing great, but knowing that she dislikes the shelter and other cats, she’s currently located in the Interaction Room and is featured as the Cat of the Week, with hopes that she will be adopted this weekend. She has a reduced adoption fee of only $25. Please remember that she prefers a calmer living environment, and dislikes other cats, if you’re considering adopting her. Madeline is so very sweet with humans, and will certainly make for a relaxing companion for the right person or family.
Update 2/7/18 – Madeline is back from the vet, and doing great! Her spay is healing up nicely, and she is now available for adoption again! We’ve realized that she does not care for other cats, but she will make a great companion in an only-cat home. When you come to meet her, Madeline may still be located in the back of the shelter (as it’s a calmer environment). Just ask shelter staff, and they’ll be happy to introduce you!
Update 2/2/18 – Madeline went to the vet today, and they suspect she has some pain from her spay, which is not completely unusual. She’s now getting the help she needs to feel better soon. We’ll keep you posted as to when she will be available for adoption again!
Madeline came to the shelter after her previous owner could no longer care for her. Unfortunately, this long-haired beauty is a bit depressed at the moment, because she doesn’t care for the shelter environment. This is totally understandable, given that she’s used to living in a home. She hasn’t been eating very well recently, so it’s somewhat urgent for her to find a place to go soon. The really good “mews” is that Madeline has already been spayed, and can leave the shelter right away once you adopt her. Note that she’s more of a reserved cat, who prefers a quieter environment, so she’d do well as an only cat, or in a home that has plenty of peaceful places to relax. Though she’s a meek kitty, we can tell that Madeline enjoys the company of humans, and will be much happier when she’s living in a home once again. Stop by the shelter, so you can get to know Madeline by softly petting her under the chin, and by feeding her Temptations treats. She’s hoping that you will notice her stunning tortoiseshell coat of fur, and gorgeous mane around her face. This girl has a heart of gold, but desperately needs to leave the shelter soon. Please don’t delay — you can be Madeline’s hero, instantly lifting her spirits, by inviting her into your heart and your home today.
