Update 1/15/18 – Brittany, Jeannette & Eleanor have come down with a URI, so they’re currently in the back, getting medical treatment. We’ll update you as soon as they are feeling better and available for adoption again.

These friendly ladies came in with a large number of siblings – three girls and three boys total! So we named them all after Alvin and the Chipmunks, perhaps because we’ve been hearing their Christmas song on the radio so much these days. Brittany is a tuxedo kitty with only a tiny bit of white on her left lip. Jeanette is all black, and Eleanor is a tuxedo with a white stripe from her nose to her chin. When they all came in, both Jeanette and Theodore had corneal ulcers. These ulcers can be caused by a lot of things, including trauma to the eye, but the good news is that they have both received medical treatment thanks to the Athenspets Medical Fund. As a result, they are expected to both make full recoveries after a round of medications. Shelter staff have already begun that treatment, and they will be available for adoption as soon as their medical regime is finished (in a week or two). In the meantime, their siblings are already ready to go home with you and are hoping very much that you’ll come meet them and take them home so that they can start 2018 off in a home of their own! They all seem to be friendly and outgoing, although one of the boys is a little shy. But all will do well in homes either with a sibling or individually. Note: Jeanette is not pictured above as she was at Firehall 4 getting medical treatment on picture day. We will update this page ASAP with pictures of her as soon as possible.

Because we are still full up front, there’s no space to move them into a kennel in the main visitor area. But staff will be happy to introduce you to any of these kitties. Just ask for them by name when you arrive!
