47968 – Flash
Why choose me?
Update 10/6: Flash was so happy to walk with me to an interaction pen today and was ready to spend time with me. He’d come to me when I called him, and when I sat down, he sat beside me and put his head on my knee. He was being really sweet and needed some attention. He’s still not sure about other dogs, so the staff locked Flash’s kennel. You can ask someone to take him out for you if you’d like to get to know him. When I walked Flash back to his run, another dog was barking at him, but he didn’t respond. Hopefully, that’s a good sign, and he’ll be more accepting of other dogs. I enjoyed my time with Flash today and was glad to get to know him a little better.
Flash had just arrived at the pound when I took him out for pictures, and he was a boy on the move. New to this environment, he was ready to take in every sight, sound, and scent. Misfit was in the adjoining pen, and at first Flash wasn’t too happy about that, but they started to run and enjoyed racing along the fence together. When it was time for us to go, Flash joined me at the gate, and I gave him some pets. He’s a handsome, energetic dog who’s already neutered. Once he’s settled in, I’ll see if Flash likes to play fetch (he certainly has the energy for it!) and knows some commands. For today, however, he just needed to run and learn about this new place.
