47389 – Lindy
Why choose me?
Update 8/25: Lindy and Cowboy are now playmates! They can only play together if a staff member is present, but if things are quiet around the shelter while you are visiting, you can ask if it’s a good time for a play date!
Update 7/26: Lindy and Sable look so much alike they could be twins! Both came in with malnutrition coats which they’re shedding in favor of darker, sleekier, shinier coats. Lindy can be a little yappy through the fence with other dogs, but she’s great once she actually gets to meet them–while neither Diamond or Sable are her ideal playmate, she was friendly with both. If you’re looking for a medium-sized mutt to have fun walking and hiking with, but then to curl up with Netflix, come meet Lindy!
Update 7/12: Thanks to donations to the Spay/Neuter Fund, Lindy has been spayed and brought up-to-date on her basic vaccinations! She has also tested NEGATIVE for heartworms!
Lindy is a timid girl, but she’s also as sweet as a Lindor chocolate. She was worried about all the barking surrounding her and was drooling nervously in her kennel but still walked with me to an interaction pen. It wasn’t long before Lindy was feeling much more comfortable, and Minka played a big part in that. Minka is a friendly girl who loves other dogs, and she and Lindy hit it off at the fence. Lindy’s tail untucked, the nervous drooling stopped, and she was enjoying Minka’s company as well as mine. She wasn’t interested in treats today but did like pets and kind words. Lindy is a petite girl at only 39 pounds and is easy to walk on a leash. Give her time to feel comfortable and see how sweet she can be.
